The holiday season often inspires a spirit of generosity, reminding us of the importance of community and supporting one another. At Royal Carting, our commitment to strengthening the Hudson Valley is a year-round mission. We believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work, helping local families, and supporting the organizations that make our region a better place for everyone.

As a proud Casella company, we are deeply committed to our community. In 2024, Casella employees volunteered 13,000 hours, reflecting our strong service culture. Casella also contributed over $2.499 million through charitable donations, in-kind services, and local sponsorships. This commitment guides our local efforts, and we are proud to support the important work happening right here in our neighborhoods.

Our Local Impact: Supporting Nonprofits That Make a Difference

Royal Carting contributes over $250,000 annually to local causes, and we are honored to stand with incredible nonprofit organizations that provide essential services to our community. Here are seven local partners whose work we are proud to support:

  1. The Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse (CPCA): This vital organization is dedicated to ending child abuse through education, advocacy, and intervention. They empower families and protect children, ensuring a safer future for the most vulnerable members of our community.
  2. The Arc Greater Hudson Valley: Supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, The Arc fosters independence and inclusion. Their programs help people live fulfilling lives as valued and contributing members of our community.
  3. Sparrow’s Nest: Facing a cancer diagnosis is incredibly difficult for families. Sparrow’s Nest provides comfort by delivering free, homemade meals to families of caregivers with cancer, allowing them to focus on healing and spending precious time together.
  4. Greystone Programs: Greystone offers life-enriching opportunities for children, adults, and families with autism and other developmental disabilities. Their services are designed to help each person achieve their highest level of independence and personal growth.
  5. Grace Smith House: For survivors of domestic violence, Grace Smith House is a beacon of hope. It provides safe shelter, counseling, and advocacy, empowering individuals and families to break the cycle of violence and build new, safer lives.
  6. Mental Health America of Dutchess County: Promoting mental wellness for all, MHA Dutchess offers support services, educational programs, and advocacy. Their work helps reduce stigma and ensures that those in need have access to critical mental health resources.
  7. Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie: For over 175 years, the Children’s Home has provided a safe haven for children in crisis. They offer counseling and care to help children and families navigate difficult times and build a foundation for a brighter future.
